Gean \Gean\, n. [F. guigne the fruit of the gean; cf. OHG.
   w[imac]hsila, G. weichsel.] (Bot.)
   A species of cherry tree common in Europe (Prunus avium);
   also, the fruit, which is usually small and dark in color.
