   (Bot.)
   (a) The native Brazilian name for certain leguminous trees,
       which produce the beautiful woods called king wood,
       tiger wood, and violet wood.
   (b) A genus of bignoniaceous Brazilian trees with showy
       trumpet-shaped flowers.
