Pulsatilla \Pul`sa*til"la\, n. [NL.] (Bot.) A genus of ranunculaceous herbs including the pasque flower. This genus is now merged in {Anemone}. Some species, as Anemone Pulsatilla, Anemone pratensis, and {Anemone patens}, are used medicinally. [1913 Webster] .
