   L. imperator, fr. imperare to command; in in + parare to

   Emperor goose (Zo["o]l.), a large and handsome goose
      (Philacte canagica), found in Alaska.

      bombycid moths, with transparent spots on the wings; as

      the European species (Saturnia pavonia).
