Gam \Gam\ (g[a^]m), v. i. [imp. & p. p. Gammed; p. pr. & vb.
   n. Gam"ming.] (Naut.)
   (a) To gather in a gam; -- said of whales.
   (b) To engage in a gam, or (Local, U. S.) in social
       intercourse anywhere.
