Grope \Grope\ (gr[=o]p), v. i. [imp. & p. p. Groped (gr[=o]pt); p. pr. & vb. n. Groping.] [OE. gropen, gropien, grapien, AS. gr[=a]pian to touch, grope, fr. gr[imac]pan to gripe. See Gripe.] 1.
