Schizopoda \Schi*zop"o*da\, n. pl., [NL. See Schizo-, and
   -poda.] (Zool.)
   A division of shrimplike Thoracostraca in which each of the
   thoracic legs has a long fringed upper branch (exopodite) for
   swimming.
