Termes \Ter"mes\ (t[~e]r"m[=e]z), n.; pl. Termites
   (-m[i^]*t[=e]z). [L. termes, tarmes, -itis, a woodworm. Cf.
   Termite.] (Zool.)
   A genus of Pseudoneuroptera including the white ants, or
   termites. See Termite.
