   Of or pertaining to a viper or vipers; resembling a viper.

   (a) Any venomous snake of the family Viperidae.
   (b) A harmless snake resembling a viper in form or color,
       esp. Tropidonotus viperinus, a small European species
       which resembles the viper in color.
