Worry \Wor"ry\, v. t. [imp. & p. p. Worried; p. pr. & vb. n.
   Worrying.] [OE. worowen, wirien, to strangle, AS. wyrgan in
   [=a]wyrgan; akin to D. worgen, wurgen, to strangle, OHG.
   wurgen, G. w["u]rgen, Lith. verszti, and perhaps to E.
